Robert Kurz
Robert Kurz is a principal with Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, Virginia, with 30 years of experience in governmental strategy and operations. For the last 15 years, he has supported government and commercial clients with consulting services in strategy, analysis, and wargaming.
At Booz Allen, Mr. Kurz leads the firm's wargames and simulations for defense, security, and civil sector clients that address strategic, operational, and tactical issues addressing some of the most complex challenges that confront governmental leaders, from action officers to cabinet officers.
Some recent wargames and simulations have addressed:
- Opportunities for expanding interagency coordination and cooperation for complex national security issues
- Innovative governmental acquisition strategies and implementation options
- Enhancements of organizational structures and strategies for improved government effectiveness
- Expanded education for senior leaders to improve force protection

Before joining Booz Allen, Mr. Kurz served in the office of the Wisconsin Governor, and on the staffs of several committees and offices in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has been a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution, an international affairs Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations, and an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University. He holds an M.A. in Government from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
